![]() I learned my lesson from September 2018 and was much better prepared for the UGA home opener yesterday. Forecasts were for clear skies, and temps of 95-97 in the Classic City. Humidity was lower than normal and we had a slight breeze but the sun was still H.O.T. Due to the dedication of Dooley Field in honor of Vince Dooley, we arrived into the stadium an hour early to ensure we would make the 3:30 dedication time. We breezed through security...by 3:00 (a full hour before kick-off). I was able to bring in a baggie with ice!! I was so excited, I didn't know if they would keep it or not. Sanford Stadium does now allow ONE un-opened bottle of water per guest, which is nice, but come on, just one? Anyway, I wanted to share the REAL MVPs of yesterday's game for me. This is not a sponsored post in any way, shape or form (come on, I have a day job and rarely post, what brand wants to pay me?!? haha!). I highly recommend these for any hot day games you may be attending. The Pool Spray Fan You know you have either had one of these before or you have one hiding in a beach bag full of expired sunscreen. I don't know if the man beside me appreciated it, but I was constantly spraying my face, shoulders, arms and legs with mine. I hadn't worn shorts in public in years but yesterday it was a MUST. Lost yours? I found several options online at Amazon, Bed Bath & Beyond, and Home Depot. The Cooling Towel I had these packed with the baggie of ice and frequently pulled one out to place around my neck or cover my knees and feet. It worked well but of course in the heat, would warm up/dry out quickly. However, blocking the glare of the sun on my skin was also cooling. Find these also at Home Depot, Dick's Sporting Goods and of course Amazon.
